Safety Instructions and Tips:
- Never load a speargun out of water
It's not just a safety principle to annoy people, it's a physical reality: Water greatly limits the expression of the considerable forces stored in the rubber bands and transmitted to the shaft. If the shot is fired out of the water, you will not be able to control the recoil or the trajectory of the arrow and the line will be unable to hold it.
- Never point your speargun at your buddy (or anyone else for that matter!)
Shooting accidents are extremely rare in spearfishing but not impossible. Using the speargun safety can be misleading and give you a false sense of "security" because, despite all our efforts, we are never safe from a technical failure that could lead to an unintended shot (wear, deformation by overload , rupture of the end of the shaft...)
- Always make a visual inspection of the speargun before loading it
If you notice any deformation or any change of the speargun, do not charge it and contact us so that we can make a diagnosis and fixe if necessary.
Your security is our priority.
- Always wear gloves
A speargun accumulates a considerable amount of energy and our hands are fragile, especially after a few hours in the water and the cold. Too bad to end the outing or worse the season because of a avoidable injury. Wearing gloves considerably limits the risks and greatly facilitates the loading of rubber bands as well as the grip of the stock, and therefore the accuracy of the shot.
