Woods
Predominantly dark wood highlighted with a light wood trim, or vice versa.
Two-tone, straight or diagonal, it's up to you to choose and design your crossbow!

Although the choice of wood species is endless, our hearts naturally lean towards French or European origins, which are more environmentally friendly and renewable, such as ash or acacia. But of course, like you, we love exotic woods such as iroko and teak. Most of our spearguns feature laminated ash and iroko wood. Ash is a wood traditionally used in shipbuilding for oars and oarlocks. Iroko is a magnificent wood native to Africa. Its color changes and darkens over time, while ash remains light and golden. Acacia is a heavy wood, very hard and difficult to work with, but we have the expertise to offer it as an alternative to teak since it has the same qualities.
We start from scratch: the boards come from selected logs that are then worked in our workshop. There are no surprises, we do everything ourselves. The raw wood is rectified and assembled by “contrary” cutting the blades. The “bases” thus created are kept for several weeks, then checked and classified in order to remove any imperfect pieces or correct any deformities. These “bases,” which we then call “blanks,” are shaped and kept under observation for several more weeks before the final shaping and assembly of the fittings to ensure absolute dimensional stability once the crossbow is complete.
No off-the-shelf laminates with unknown properties are used at Skilla; everything is “homemade.”
The SKL series' exclusive diagonal laminate gives the spearguns a bio-design inspired by nature: the body is darker on top and lighter underneath, making it more discreet, just like marine animals !

we apply bi-component varnishes enhanced with additives to guarantee the longevity of our speargun. Likewise, we integrate titanium inserts embedded in resin on all the screws that are frequently removed, such as those of the camera support or breakaway support, in order to prevent any water from entering the wood.
FULL TITANIUM
The entire Skilla range is made entirely of titanium,
including the handles, fittings, mechanical parts, and even the springs! Only the shaft remains in 17-4Ph stainless steel. The goal is simple: to offer you the most durable and beautiful speargun you have ever owned, regardless of the conditions of use, maintenance, or storage.
Furthermore, titanium allows us to anodize all metal parts to give them a beautiful colors and two textures: matte or satin, and four colors available:
Skilla Purple
Electric Blue
Bronze Brown
Natural Titanium

The Fti Handle-mech
The Handle-Mech is one of Skilla's "signature" part. It's entirely of our design: a plunging plate in a high-strength resin handle that houses an inverted mechanism 6mm thick, in water-jet cut titanium, capable of withstanding hundreds of kilos of traction. All parts are made of GR2 and GR5 titanium depending on their function. The handle can be disassembled or reassembled in a minute to transport the speargun, in a tube on an airplane for example. It is available in an ergonomic right-handed, left-handed or ambidextrous version. It is purple in color (Skilla Purple) but can be delivered to order in white for low visibility areas or even in phosphorescent to find your gun at the bottom of a trunk when you are not awake!
And there's more ! we screwed a titanium reinforcement plate into the handle so you can smash shells or rocks to call fishes! You can also clip your buoy or belt reel there.
Safety is a pin equipped with a "flame" as in aviation: easy to put on and take off but impossible to forget! It can be a nice keychain too!!!
We put a small fluorescent rear sight on the loading butt end, to help with alignment (and if you find it useless, that's okay! we find it nice !)
